Support Hub: Your Guide to Halls Peer Support

Did you know that your hall might have Peer Supporters you can reach out to for advice?

Peer Supporters at the LSE are a group of trained student volunteers dedicated to offering a confidential and non-judgmental listening space to their fellow students. They play a crucial role in the well-being of the LSE student community by providing support for any issues, big or small. 

  • Empowering Role: Peer Supporters empower students by listening and providing support, helping them overcome worries and inspiring them to assist others. 

  • Inclusivity: The scheme is fully inclusive, available to all students, and encourages reaching out as a sign of strength. 

  • Confidentiality: Conversations with Peer Supporters are confidential, with certain exceptions for safety reasons. 

  • Support Range: They can help with a variety of issues and signpost to other services for more specialized support.

Peer Supporters are not professional counsellors but are selected and trained to assist students in finding their own solutions through effective listening and communication skills. They are available to all students, regardless of their year of study or living arrangements.
