5 mouth watering mocktails

Summer is fast approaching and with it, comes plenty of drinks in the sunshine. While I'm sure you are looking forward to those times, there will also be times when you need a little break from alcohol. But don't just cut yourself off completely and seal your fate to FOMO - try these mocktails to keep sober and keep the party going.

1. Dark Not Stormy 🥥

Ingredients:

  • A quarter of a chopped pineapple (or tinned)
  • Lime cordial, to taste
  • 200ml ginger beer

Method:

  • Grab yourself a tall glass
  • Pop your chopped pineapple at the bottom and fill to the brim with ginger beer
  • Finally sweeten to taste with lime cordial

2. Tropical Punch 🍍

Ingredients: 

  • 100ml pineapple juice
  • 100ml orange juice
  • 100ml sparkling water
  • Squeeze of lemon
  • Dash of lime

Method:

  • Find your largest, most fabulous glass and pour all your ingredients in
  • A quick stir, and Bob's your uncle

3. Nojito 🍋‍🟩

Ingredients: 

  • 250ml soda water
  • A splash of lemon cordial
  • Fresh mint
  • Squeeze of lemon
  • Dash of lime

Method:

  • You can use as much cordial as you like – it's to taste.
  • Pour everything in your favourite goblet over a couple cubes of ice
  • Garnish with mint

4. Shirley Temple 🌸

Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • 150ml ginger ale
  • 25ml lime juice
  • 15ml grenadine
  • 1 cherry, to garnish

Method:

  • In a tall glass with ice, pour in the ginger ale and lime juice
  • Slowly pour over the grenadine, then garnish with a cherry. You can top up with more ginger ale if you'd like or more lime juice

5. Lemon Drop Martini 🍋

Ingredients: 

  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 50ml alcohol-free gin (or use water)
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp marmalade
  • ice

Method: 

  • Combine the lemon zest and sugar on a small plate. Dip the rim of a wine glass (or a fancy martini glass) in water, then in the sugar mix
  • Put all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker (if you don't have one, you can use a kitchen jar or water bottle) with a handful of ice. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels icy cold. Strain through a sieve into the glass
