Visits and overnight guests

No Overnight Guests – First Two Weeks

After you move in, you cannot have overnight guests for the first two weeks. The dates when overnight guests are allowed vary by hall:

• Butler’s Wharf: from Sunday 14 September 2025
• Robeson House & Sidney Webb House: from Saturday 27 September 2025
• All other halls: from Sunday 5 October 2025

Day Guests

• Allowed between 8am and 11pm
• Max 2 guests at a time - ask reception if you want more
• Guests must sign in/out at reception and may be asked for ID
• Last sign-in is at 10:30pm, and all guests must leave by 11pm

Overnight Guests

• Allowed 2 weeks after your hall’s move-in date
• You can host 1 overnight guest in your room
• Max stay: 3 nights in a row
• For longer stays (up to 6 nights in 14 days) submit your request, with a minimum of 7 days notice, in your LSE Accommodation Account. You'll receive an email from us once your request has been reviewed. 
• If you share a room, get your roommate’s permission
• Guests must be 18 or older
• All overnight guests must sign in/out at reception and may be asked for ID

Dining Guests

• Guests can eat in the dining room
• Meal cost: £7.35, paid at reception

Responsibility

• Your guest must stay with you at all times
• You are responsible for your guest’s behaviour
