All students must ensure they follow the LSE guest policy in place.

Overnight guests are not allowed until 7 October 2024 (30 September for Sidney Webb House residents).

Day guests:

  • You may have guests between 8am and 11pm UK time. If you wish to host more than 2 guests, please arrange this in advance with the reception team.
  • All day guests must sign in and out at reception when entering or leaving the building. Reception staff may request identification.
  • The latest sign-in time for day guest is 10:30pm. All day guests must leave the premises by 11pm.

Overnight guests:

  • You can invite one overnight guest to stay in your room, starting from Monday 7 October 2024. If you live in Sidney Webb House, you can host overnight guests from Monday 30 September 2024 due to your earlier check-in day.
  • Guests can stay up to 3 consecutive nights. For longer stays, you need permission from both your flatmates and the Warden team (email at wardens@lse.ac.uk)
  • Wardens can approve overnight guests to stay for a maximum of 6 nights within a 14-day period.
  • If you share a room, you must get your roommate's permission before inviting an overnight guest.
  • All overnight guests must sign in and out at reception when entering or leaving the building. Reception staff may request identification.

Dining:

  • You may invite a guest to eat with you in the dining room, but they must pay £7.35 for their meal at the reception desk.

Supervision and responsibility:

  • Your guest must stay with you at all times while in the hall. Guests are not allowed to stay in the hall without you.
  • As set out in the LSE Student Accommodation Disciplinary Code, your guests' behaviour is your responsibility and you will be held accountable for any misconduct offences they may commit.

Summer School Residents:

  • Please refer to your Accommodation Terms and Conditions, as the guest policy differs during the Summer period.
