Not sure where to find the best gifts for your friends and family this holiday season? Look no further! This article provides plenty of fun shopping options around LSE ranging from £ to £££.
PRICE RANGE: £
Flying Tiger Copenhagen
Locations: Leadenhall Market, Oxford St, Old Spitalfields Market
I have bought all of my favorite room decor at Flying Tiger! They're known for selling cheap and unique home decor, kitchenware, stationary, and accessories. If you're looking to grab something cute for a friend or sibling, this is the perfect place to go.
Søstrene Grene
Locations: Tottenham Ct Rd, Argyll St, Coal Drops Yard
Søstrene Grene has a similar vibe to Flying Tiger, but it's a bit fancier on the inside. Luckily, it is still quite cheap! At Søstrene Grene, you can get beautiful mugs, candles, and other kinds of homeware. You can't find this store outside of Europe, so it's a great place to buy someone a uniquely European gift.
PRICE RANGE: ££
London Souvenir Shops
Locations: All over!
My personal favorite souvenir shops are the shop at Westminster Abbey (they have beautiful ornaments) and the strip of huge shops outside of Charing Cross Station. Small London souvenirs are the perfect gifts for your friends who have never been to the UK!
Bird & Blend Tea Co.
Locations: Borough (Park St), Covent Garden (Monmouth St), Portobello Rd
A few weeks ago, I stepped into this unique UK tea shop and fell in love. They have so many tea options, including matcha and chai. Their packaging is beautiful as well. Ask the baristas at the shop to help you pick out the perfect blend for the tea lover in your life!
LSE Shop
Location: Across from the Saw Swee Hock and the Marshall Building
Alright, this one is a little bit on the nose, but why not gift your parent an LSE shirt so they can show off how smart their kid is?
PRICE RANGE: £££
Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, Liberty, and Selfridges
Locations: Picadilly St, Regent St, Oxford St
London's most famous department stores are a must-visit this holiday season! Spend a day (or several) enjoying their elaborate Christmas decorations and browsing the goodies they have on display. If you're going home for the holidays, I recommend picking up a tin of Fortnum & Mason's famous biscuits for your family to enjoy.
Covent Garden
Location: A ten minute walk from campus!
Stop by Covent Garden between classes to browse its famous Apple Market for craftier gifts, such as art and jewelry. This market takes place every day of the week.
Carnaby Street
Location: Parallel to Regent St
This iconic London street is known for its boutiques and eclectic shopping options. Gifts you would find on Carnaby Street include high-end skincare products, clothing, and jewelry.
