Role Overview

Position: Communications Assistant (2 roles)

Hours: 10 hours per week

Salary: £17.62 per hour (including holiday pay)

You must be a full time LSE student for the duration of the role.

Your creativity and innovation will shine as you craft captivating content across various platforms, including our website, social media, emails, and digital screens. You'll also contribute to the design of printed materials, such as posters and merchandise, while staying attuned to emerging trends to elevate our brand and services. We welcome your fresh ideas and encourage your active involvement on social media platforms, as well as staying current with the latest Instagram and TikTok trends. 

If you possess experience in social media, video editing and design skills in Adobe, Canva or Capcut or similar software, we invite you to join us on a dynamic journey of innovation and connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you are not already based in London at the start of the role, you can work remotely in September before Welcome Week. There will be an expectation for in-person work throughout Welcome Week and onwards as well as during the summer period.
The interviews held on 13 and 14 July 2026 will be held virtually via Zoom.
Yes, you need to be an LSE student throughout the duration of the role, for the academic year of 2026/27.
If you are due to start your course in September 2026, you are eligible to apply as long as you will be a full time student for the duration of the 2026/27 academic year. 
The role starts from 14 September 2026 and ends on 31 August 2027. You will need to be an LSE Student for the duration of the role.

There is an expectation for majority of the hours to be done in person in summer 2027 due to the preparations for Welcome 2027.
