London Fashion Week Feb 2026: Student Friendly!

Fashion Week on a Student Budget

For five days in February, London feels different and it is hard not to notice. Cameras appear on the pavements, people dress with more intention, and even an ordinary walk to class feels like you have stepped into something happening. The city starts moving like a show in itself. That is London Fashion Week and it is closer to student life than you might think!!

I have not actually been to London Fashion Week before, but I recently discovered something that surprised me. This year, London Fashion Week runs from 19 to 23 February 2026, and what I have learned is that you do not need tickets or money to enjoy it. You just need to know where to look.

Start with a walk!

When I started looking into Fashion Week, I realised the easiest way to experience it is simply by walking.

If you walk from the Strand towards Covent Garden (both super close to LSE by the way) you will see it immediately. People stopping for photos, photographers crouched on pavements, outfits you would normally only see online. It feels like the city has turned into a moving runway and you are suddenly part of it just by being there.

Even a short walk between lectures is enough to feel the buzz. This two places are a must!

Outside Somerset House This is the epicentre of street style photography. Arriving about thirty minutes before a big show means you can watch photographers line up and capture arrivals against the courtyard backdrop.

Brewer Street Car Park in Soho This space hosts several shows and presentations and is known for its raw concrete aesthetic. The contrast with bold outfits makes it one of the most photographed spots during Fashion Week and a great place to stand and observe.

Across London, there are pop ups, markets, and small showcases that are either free or very cheap. One example is this Local Fashion Week event in London, which includes talks, showcases, and a pre loved fashion pop up market that anyone can attend, with ticket options that are affordable and student friendly. I have not been myself yet, but if you go, let me know what it is like.

Here is the link to this event (only 3 pounds!) This Local Fashion Week event is holding different activities depending on which day do you go!

So... how am I discovering this Fashion Week?

I have never experienced London Fashion Week properly before, but this year I am genuinely excited to try it in my own way. Not through tickets or shows, but through walks, pop ups, exhibitions, and small moments around the city. It feels like one of those things that is more about being present than being invited.
