Day trips made easy for busy students.

Between lectures, coursework, and trying to have a social life, planning a day trip is one of those things that keeps getting pushed to next weekend. And then the term is over. I went on the Oxford tour and it was exactly like that. The bus picked us up early morning right at campus, and from that point everything was taken care of. The guide was excellent and knew exactly where to take us and what to tell us about the city. During our free time, I just pulled up TikTok, searched for the most popular photo spots in Oxford, and went around ticking them off. That was the hardest decision I had to make all day.

Overall....

The prices are genuinely good for students, especially considering it is a full organised day out by bus rather than paying for a train ticket yourself. But a word of advice: be prepared. You will be out the whole day, so bring water, snacks, sunblock if the weather is decent, and comfortable shoes. It is a lot of walking and you do not want to be the person who runs out of energy by 2pm.
