Join us for a fun and relaxing day out in nature

Take a well-earned break from exam stress and join us for a memorable visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Wander through breathtaking landscapes, discover rare exotic plants, and visit stunning glasshouses on a peaceful walk through one of London's most beautiful gardens.

We will also climb to the iconic Great Pagoda at Kew for incredible panoramic views, and step inside the charming Kew Palace to uncover royal histories and the private life of King George III and his family.

Meeting location: Kew Gardens Main Entrance, Richmond Road, London, TW9 3AB.

You'll be greeted by your ResLife Officer, holding the multi-coloured umbrella.

  • It is mandatory to bring your LSE ID, as it will be checked against your ticket
  • Tickets are non-transferable and only for use by the named person on the ticket
  • Refund requests made on the day of the event will NOT be given

Itinerary

  • Meet us at the main entrance of Kew Gardens at 12:15pm. We are unable to wait if you're running later than 12:30pm. [Please note: Travel tickets to Kew Gardens are not included, so make sure to arrange your own transport. Estimated travel time from Waterloo Station-Kew Gardens 40-50min approx. The main entrance to Kew Gardens is approximately a to 7 minute walk from the Kew Gardens Tube station.]
  • You will have up to 4 hours to explore Kew Gardens on your own.
  • We will be gathered at the Great Pagoda, located within Kew Gardens at 3pm where you will have the option of climbing to the top with us (approximately 35 minutes).
  • At 3:30pm we will visit Kew Palace. Meeting point: In front of the main entrance of Kew Palace, located within the grounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. During our visit, we'll discover what the palace is about-its history as royal retreat, it's connection to King George III and his family.

If you cannot attend an event, please let us know within 48 hours of MAKING your booking, and we will offer a full refund.


Please note the following refund conditions:

  • Bookings made 24 hours before the event will be non-refundable.
  • Refund requests made less than 24 hours before the event or on the day of the event will NOT be accepted.
  • Refund requests made outside of the 48 hour period will be considered on a case-by-case, and supporting evidence may also be requested.
  • Refunds will be processed within 7 working days and are subject to a booking/cancellation fee.



Tickets are non-transferable and only for use by the named person on the ticket. LSE ID matching your ticket will need to be shown when boarding.


LSE ResLife events are ONLY for 2025/26 hall residents.

We have photographers and filmmakers at some of our events to capture footage to share online and for use in future promotional materials. If you don't want to be featured, please inform a member of the Residential Life team.
