Intense and immersive instrumental music recommendations

Tired of mainstream pop? Looking for something new and exciting? Here is some instrumental music on Spotify that can pull you in immediately. Try them during your study break or any moment when you need a power surge!

  • The Banjo Beat, Pt.1 by Ricky Desktop

Ricky is one of the most viral beatmakers on Tiktok. He is a vocalist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, who has been developing his sound since just 14 years old. The first time I listened to "The Banjo Beat," I was instantly captivated. The track features a distinctive fusion of traditional banjo melodies with contemporary rhythms. The bass is fat, and the music cascades like a torrential downpour, enveloping the listener in its dynamic energy.

  • Orientale No.9, Op.50 by Cesar Cui

1) Cello and piano version by Schrello Classic

2) Violin and piano version by Midori and Robert McDonald

Composed by César Cui, a Russian composer of operas, songs, and piano music, Orientale is a captivating piece originally scored for piano and cello. The percussive bowing of the cello is rhythmic, resembling drumbeats, while the exotic melody draws you into the mystique of the East. Like a female warrior, the melody is elegant and graceful but also possesses power and strength at the same time.

The first time I listened to Orientale, it was its violin adaptation. Compared with the cello, the violin has a more lively and fluid quality. Because I like both versions, I’m including both here!

  • Cello Solo by Ragael Krux
  • Classical Violin by Ragael Krux and David Krulic

These two pieces of music are similar in their rapid yet even-paced rhythm, which gradually builds emotional intensity. Like a gripping tale, they capture my attention from the very first note. Additionally, I like the tones of both the violin and the cello. The violin has a bright and expressive timbre, while the warm tone of the cello adds depth to the overall composition.
