A student Initiative helping Wellbeing

Rosebery Hall’s catering team has kicked off the "15 Minutes Behind the Counter" initiative, bringing students right into the heart of the action. Born from discussions about how to get students more involved during meal times, and with the green light from the wardens and hall committees, this fun new program is all about building community and making mealtimes at Rosebery even more exciting.

What is the Behind the Counter Idea?

Students are invited to sign up for 15-minute serving slots, where they get the chance to join the catering team during meal times! It’s a fun, hands-on way to mingle with fellow students and staff, while getting a behind-the-scenes look at what happens in the kitchen. This initiative is all about creating a lively, inclusive atmosphere—making Rosebery Hall truly feel like a “home away from home.”

The feedback has been amazing, with students jumping at the chance to get involved. Not only does it give everyone a chance to interact, but it also helps the catering team gather real-time feedback to improve and tailor services to better meet student needs.

“15 Minutes Behind the Counter” has quickly become a hit, offering a unique and engaging way for students to connect with their hall’s dining experience, while boosting the community spirit at Rosebery Hall.

Where can I take part?

Students interested in signing up for a session can do so at the Rosebery Hall reception. Don’t miss out on the chance to be a part of this exciting initiative!
