Nightline, Run by students, for students

Note: London Nightline is currently closed for the summer and they will reopen their lines on the 23 September.

Sometimes the moment when you need to talk to someone the most comes in the middle of the night. Can't sleep, overthinking certain things - it happens to us all! So if you feel the need for a quick call or a long texting session to get it off of your chest, then Nightline is here to help.

Nightline is an anonymous listening and information service run by students, for students. You'll either be talking or texting a trained volunteer, with no conversation too big or too small. Your conversation is completely private so feel free to open up if you need to.

Nightline is open 6pm - 8am every night of term:

  • Phone: 0207 631 0101 (Calls to this number are typically included within free minutes packages, or they will be charged at your standard network rate.)
  • Live chat: Instant messaging directly from their website. All you need to do is click the link when they're online.

If Nightline is unavailable, you can contact Samaritans 24/7 on 116123.
