LSE Sustainable Halls Campaign 2024/25 is now live!

Join our 2024-25 inter-hall sustainability campaign to learn lifelong sustainability habits, meet like-minded students, have fun whilst acting on climate, and compete to win the title of ‘most sustainable hall’.

What does taking part look like?

  • Collaborate with other students in your hall to lead on initiatives to reduce energy, waste and water use.
  • Attend free sustainability webinars/masterclasses to upskill your knowledge.
  • Take part in online competitions and prizes.
  • Paid opportunities to undertake x2 Recycling Audits.
  • Meet like-minded students and staff members, working together for positive change sustainable change!
  • Develop valuable skills for your career and CV.
  • If your hall wins, there will be a celebration event/prize for you to enjoy!

It is up to you how much or little you want to get involved, so don’t be put off by thinking it’ll be a big commitment.

Butler's Wharf residents were crowned the winners of last year’s Sustainable Halls Campaign. Will they win it again; or will your hall prove tough competition in 2024-25?

In last year’s campaign:

  • 400 students involved.
  • 270,240 kWh saved – that’s over 90,000 kettles boiling
  • £40,536 energy costs saved.
  • 62 tonnes of CO2 saved – that’s around 4,160 average London bus journeys 🚌
