Why should you join us?
There’s an impressive 250 years (and counting) of history in the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew and it's all ready for you to explore!
Kew Gardens is a botanic garden in southwest London that houses the "largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections in the world".
Founded in 1840, from the exotic garden at Kew Park, its living collections includes some of the 27,000 taxa curated by Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, while the herbarium, one of the largest in the world, has over 8.5 million preserved plant and fungal specimens.
The library contains more than 750,000 volumes, and the illustrations collection contains more than 175,000 prints and drawings of plants. It is one of London's top tourist attractions and is a World Heritage Site.
The trip will also include access to Kew’s iconic Orchid Festival returning in 2025 to brighten the winter months. Taking over the Princess of Wales Conservatory from Saturday 1 February to Sunday 2 March 2025, the 29th Orchid Festival draws inspiration from the unique flora and fauna of Peru.
From beaches and rainforests to deserts and mountains, Peru offers a varied landscape which is home to over 3000 species of orchid, and an incredible array of wildlife. This beauty and biodiversity will inspire a series of stunning horticultural displays and living sculptures in the Princess of Wales Conservatory at Kew Gardens in London.
