Join our special LSE visit to the the Chelsea Winter Village & Illuminations this holiday season.
Wander around with the twinkling lights, soak up the festive atmosphere, and feel the festive spirit all around with a dazzling winter light trail, curated street food, Christmas market & festive shops, live festive music & choirs, and so much more!

Meeting Location: outside the Royal Court Theatre, 50-51 Sloane Square, London SW1W 8AS (next to Sloane Square Station)
You'll be greeted by your ResLife Officer, holding an LSE tote bag with a multicoloured umbrella ☂️ 🌈

- It is mandatory to bring your LSE ID, as it will be checked against your ticket
- Tickets are non-transferable and only for use by the named person on the ticket
- Refund requests made on the day of the event will NOT be given
Itinerary
- Meet us at the Royal Court Theatre at 3:45pm for check-in. We are unable to wait if you're running later than 4pm.
- We will then walk to the Chelsea Winter Village, arriving at approximately 4:30pm.
- You have 3 hours to explore the Winter Village and Illuminations light trail (included with your ticket) and check out the winter market shops and food stalls.
- The ResLife Officer will be available for an hour to facilitate a Connect and Support Session for anyone who would like to share feedback regarding the event (or any past event or ideas/requests for future events), have a chat and some company over coffee, or maybe even meet a ResLife events buddy to plan future trips together.
[Ask your attending ResLife Officer for more information (timings, location) and what to expect on the day of the trip]. - Meet us at 7pm, back at the entrance of the Winter Village where we started to depart from the Chelsea Winter Village & Illuminations.
Good to know
Make sure you wear comfortable footwear as there is lots to see. It is also recommended you bring a coat and/or umbrella as the British weather is very unpredictable.
Please make sure you plan your commute to and from the Royal Court Theatre (meeting location) so that you are on time for us to walk to the Chelsea Winter Village (included in your ticket).
The nearest tube station is Sloane Sqaure Station which is approximately a 2 minute walk from the meeting location.

FAQs
LSE ResLife events are ONLY for 2026/27 Halls Residents.
- Tickets are non-transferable and only for use by the named person on the ticket.
- LSE ID matching your ticket will need to be shown at the start of the event.
- Ticket sales end 48 hours prior to the start of the event
The London School of Economics reserves the right to modify or cancel any event due to unforeseen circumstances.
Please note the following refund conditions:
- If you cannot attend an event, full refunds will be given to requests submitted within 48 hours of making the booking.
- Refund requests after this will be subject to a fee (per Eventbrite's policy).
- No refunds will be given to requests made within 24 hours of the event start time.
- Refunds will be processed within 7 working days and may be subject to a booking/cancellation fee.
If you don't want to be featured, please inform a member of the Residential Life team present at the event.
We have photographers and filmmakers at some of our events to capture footage to share online and for use in future promotional materials.
