Join us for an exciting day out in Windsor, combining history with a fun and relaxing summer escape.

 Visit one of the UK's most iconic royal residences, Windsor Castle! A historic landmark originally founded by William I the Conqueror in the 11th century, it is now the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world.

The day trip will include entry to the castle and grounds, along with a guided audio walking tour.

Meeting Location: Queen Victoria Statue, outside Windsor Castle. Castle Hill, Windsor SL4 1PD.

You'll be greeted by your ResLife Officer, wearing a black hat and holding a black LSE tote bag.

  • It is mandatory to bring your LSE ID, as it will be checked against your ticket
  • Tickets are non-transferable and only for use by the named person on the ticket
  • Refund requests made on the day of the event will NOT be given

Itinerary

  1. Meet us at Queen Victoria Statue at 11:45am. We are unable to wait if you're running later than 12:00pm.
  2. The walking tour is included with your ticket. The tour will take 2-2.5 hours and includes audio guide to the Castle and its history.
  3. Post the walking tour you have 3 hours of free time to explore the castle and grounds.
  4. You will need to organise your own transport to and from the castle. Good to know: The meeting point is approximately a 10 minute walk from Windsor & Eton Riverside train station.

If you cannot attend an event, please let us know within 48 hours of MAKING your booking, and we will offer a full refund.


Please note the following refund conditions:

  • Bookings made 24 hours before the event will be non-refundable.
  • Refund requests made less than 24 hours before the event or on the day of the event will NOT be accepted.
  • Refund requests made outside of the 48 hour period will be considered on a case-by-case, and supporting evidence may also be requested.
  • Refunds will be processed within 7 working days and are subject to a booking/cancellation fee.



Tickets are non-transferable and only for use by the named person on the ticket. LSE ID matching your ticket will need to be shown when boarding.


LSE ResLife events are ONLY for 2025/26 hall residents.

We have photographers and filmmakers at some of our events to capture footage to share online and for use in future promotional materials. If you don't want to be featured, please inform a member of the Residential Life team.
