Join us for a guided walking tour of the heart of London that uncovers the story of London's LGBTQ+ community across more than 2,000 years.
From Roman era fluidity through Victorian persecution, the secret Molly Houses, and the birth of Pride, right up to the queer spaces and voices shaping the city today.

Itinerary
- Meet us at outside The Clermont Hotel London, Charing Cross, outside Charing Cross station at 1:45pm.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled meeting time and check in with the tour guide and attending ResLife Officer. The tour will commence at the time advertised. We are not able to wait for latecomers. - The Guided Walking Tour at 2pm. The tour will be approximately 90 minutes.
- The ResLife Officer will be available for an hour to facilitate a Connect and Support session for anyone who would like to share feedback regarding the event (or any past event, or ideas/requests for future events), have a chat and some company over coffee, or maybe even meet a ResLife events buddy to plan future trips together.
Ask your attending ResLife officer for more information (timings, location) and what to expect on the day of the trip.
The ResLife Officer will be available for an hour to facilitate a Connect and Support session for anyone who would like to share feedback regarding the event (or any past event, or ideas/requests for future events), have a chat and some company over coffee, or maybe even meet a ResLife events buddy to plan future trips together.
The tour will include Trafalgar Square, the site of London's first Pride event in 1971; the Admiral Duncan pub, a powerful symbol of both a tragic homophobic attack and the community's resilience; and Piccadilly Circus, once a hub of LGBTQ+ nightlife.

Good to know
Make sure you wear comfortable footwear as there is lots to see and explore. It is also recommended you bring a coat and/or umbrella as the British weather is very unpredictable.
Please make sure you plan your commute to and from The Clermont Hotel London, Charing Cross, outside Charing Cross station (meeting location) so that you are on time for our tour (included in your ticket).

LSE ResLife events are ONLY for 2026/27 Halls Residents.
- Tickets are non-transferable and only for use by the named person on the ticket.
- LSE ID matching your ticket will need to be shown at the start of the event.
- Ticket sales end 48 hours prior to the start of the event
The London School of Economics reserves the right to modify or cancel any event due to unforeseen circumstances.
Please note the following refund conditions:
- If you cannot attend an event, full refunds will be given to requests submitted within 48 hours of making the booking.
- Refund requests after this will be subject to a fee (per Eventbrite's policy).
- No refunds will be given to requests made within 24 hours of the event start time.
- Refunds will be processed within 7 working days and may be subject to a booking/cancellation fee.
If you don't want to be featured, please inform a member of the Residential Life team present at the event.
We have photographers and filmmakers at some of our events to capture footage to share online and for use in future promotional materials.
