Join us for an exciting day out in Windsor, combining history, architecture and a city break. The trip is inspired by one of the UK's most iconic royal residences, Windsor Castle- a historic landmark originally founded by William the conqueror in the 11th century and known as the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. It has since been the home of 40 monarchs.

- It is mandatory to bring your LSE ID, as it will be checked against your ticket
- Tickets are non-transferable and only for use by the named person on the ticket
- Refund requests made on the day of the event will NOT be given
Itinerary
- Meet us at the Queen Victoria Statue (Castle Hill, Windsor SL4 1PD) at 11:45am for check-in. We are unable to wait if you are running later than 12:15pm.
- The Guided Walking Tour of the castle and grounds will start at 12pm. The tour will be approximately 90 minutes.
- You have 3 hours to explore the castle, grounds and surrounding area in Windsor.
The ResLife Officer will be available for an hour to facilitate a Connect and Support Session for anyone who would like to share feedback regarding the event (or any past event or ideas/requests for future events), have a chat and some company over coffee, or maybe even meet a ResLife events buddy to plan future trips together. [Ask your attending ResLife Officer for more information (timings, location) and what to expect on the day of the trip]. - Meet us at 5pm at the Queen Victoria Statue to depart from Windsor.
Good to know
Make sure you wear comfortable footwear as there is lots to see, do and explore. It is also recommended you bring a coat and/or umbrella as the British weather is very unpredictable.
Please make sure you plan your commute to and from the Queen Victoria Statue (meeting location) so that you are on time for our tour (included in your ticket).
The nearest train station is Windsor & Eton Central which is approximately a 5 minute walk from the meeting location.

FAQ's
LSE ResLife events are ONLY for 2026/27 Halls Residents.
- Tickets are non-transferable and only for use by the named person on the ticket.
- LSE ID matching your ticket will need to be shown at the start of the event.
- Ticket sales end 48 hours prior to the start of the event
The London School of Economics reserves the right to modify or cancel any event due to unforeseen circumstances.
Please note the following refund conditions:
- If you cannot attend an event, full refunds will be given to requests submitted within 48 hours of making the booking.
- Refund requests after this will be subject to a fee (per Eventbrite's policy).
- No refunds will be given to requests made within 24 hours of the event start time.
- Refunds will be processed within 7 working days and may be subject to a booking/cancellation fee.
If you don't want to be featured, please inform a member of the Residential Life team present at the event.
We have photographers and filmmakers at some of our events to capture footage to share online and for use in future promotional materials.
