A new way to get around, sustainably.

We’re excited to launch a brand-new bike hire scheme exclusively for Robeson House residents. For just £50, you can sign up to this scheme, and you will pay only once for the duration of your stay at Robeson House.

Each bike comes fully serviced, ready to ride. All bikes are sourced from a local, sustainable company, making this a great way to explore the city while keeping your carbon footprint low.

Whether you’re cycling to uni, heading into town or just enjoying the local area, this is an easy, affordable option that gives you more freedom and flexibility.

FAQs

To begin with, the reception team offers bike rentals in one-month slots. If this changes, we will let everyone interested know.

We encourage you to add your UK phone number on the form. If you are yet to get an UK number, do add your international phone number at the time of your application. It is essential that the reception team can reach you at the phone number you have specified on the form.

If you have been successful, the £50 will be added to your LSE Student Accommodation system account. This payment will be similar to how you normally pay your accommodation fees.

The £50 is a non-refundable administration fee, paid once, which allows you to rent a bicycle for multiple monthly slots, subject to availability. This fee is only payable if your application to hire a bike is successful. You will have use of the bike for a minimum of one month, and you can apply for additional monthly slots throughout the year, depending on availability.
