Help make your Hall Greener

Make an Impact at High Holborn: Join the Cloth Exchange and Help Reduce Food Waste!

At High Holborn, they are all about making a positive impact, and they need your help! As part of the Green Impact initiative, they have two easy ways for you to get involved —whether it’s helping the planet or supporting the local community. Here’s how you can pitch in:

👗 The High Holborn Cloth Exchange – Give Your Clothes a Second Life! 👕

Got clothes you never wear? Don’t let them sit there collecting dust—bring them to the High Holborn Clothes Exchange and give them a new purpose! It’s a simple way to reduce waste, promote sustainability, and help make the planet a little greener.

By participating in the exchange, you’re helping reduce textile waste, plus, every piece of clothing swapped is a step toward creating a circular economy.

📍 Where: Basement, next to the piano room—look for the clothes rail!

♻️ Why: Because every small action adds up to a bigger change. When we all pitch in, we can make a huge impact!

So, bring your old clothes, exchange them, and let’s work together for a more sustainable future.

🍕 Let’s Reduce Food Waste and Support Our Community! 🍽️

We’ve also teamed up with a local charity to reduce food waste and support those who need it most. If you’ve got extra non-perishable food—like canned goods or sealed dry food—that you don’t need, why not donate it to help someone else?

The London School of Economics (LSE) is working with a charity to distribute food donations to people in our community. By donating, you’ll be helping reduce food waste while supporting those who are struggling to make ends meet.

How to help:

‼️ Only donate sealed, unopened, and non-perishable food items.

📍 Where: Drop off your donations in the food donation box at the reception lobby area.

Every donation counts, and it’s a simple way to make a difference in the community.

Why It Matters

Both of these initiatives are a great way to get involved and give back—whether you’re reducing waste, supporting sustainability, or helping out those in need. It’s the little things that add up to create big change, and your involvement can make a real difference! 💚
