February Edition

February is here! After what felt like the longest month ever, we finally made it to February, which means that sunshine is just around the corner, sunsets will occur after 5 p.m., and life is ready to get warmer. February is also the month we celebrate love. Fancy a Galentine's? Or a box of chocolates with your favourite one? Let's see what we can do in London during this month of love and anticipation.

  • Head to Southbank Centre: Southbank Centre organises loads of free events throughout the month, things that can be done solo or with a friend! From Tango dance lessons to Poetry read-along, Southbank Centre offers something for everyone, completely free of cost!
  • Take your Valentine to Sky Garden: Sky Garden offers free viewing spots which are ticketed. Book your tickets online and take your special person to see the London skyline. The gorgeous viewing centre also has a coffee shop which serves hot and cold delicacies and is a must-visit in February.
  • Canary Wharf & Battersea Park Light Show: The annual Canary Wharf & Battersea Park's respective light show is back! Head to these locations to catch these amazing displays and artwork, completely free of cost!
  • Sign up for Hotel Chocolat and get a voucher: Craving chocolate for yourself? Wanting to give some chocolates to that special someone? Want a chocolate and wine night with your girlies? Sign up for Hotel Chocolat's app and get a 5-pound voucher! Their boxes range between 5 to 10 pounds and are the perfect way to celebrate this month, not spending much.
  • Head to Covent Garden: Covent Garden is bustling during Valentine's week with brand pop-ups and street theatre performances. The area offers the bustling air of love of the city and is also very close to campus. Perfect for a stroll through with either your girlies or those you'd like to spend Valentine's with!
  • Witness a Gorgeous Sunrise at Parliament Hill: Head to Hampstead Heath to witness a breathtaking sunrise from Parliament Hill. This viewpoint is empty during the mornings and allows you to witness the entirety of the London skyline during sunrise. It is truly a moment to witness.
