Food Recommendations around Westminster Bridge

Our top recommendations!

One of the downsides of staying at Urbanest Westminster Bridge is that it is not a catered hall. However, if you prefer not to cook, there are several affordable dining options within a 15-minute walk. Here are five excellent choices nearby:

Okan South Bank

Okan offers authentic Osakan food, with Okonomiyaki (a famous Osaka street food) being a must-try.

Walking: 5 minutes

Top tip: Go at 12pm on a weekday if you don’t have a reservation, as the restaurant is fairly small.

Roti King Waterloo

As a Malaysian, I highly recommend this Malaysian restaurant. Try the Nasi Lemak and Roti King.

Walking: 6 minutes

Top tip: Visit at 12pm on a weekday, as it is walk-in only.

Balance

This place offers Mediterranean street food, perfect for breakfast and lunch. They also sell sweet treats to satisfy your cravings.

Walking: 7 minutes

Southbank Centre Food Market

Open from Friday to Sunday (and Bank Holiday Mondays), this market offers a huge variety of cuisine. My favourite vendor is Pochi, which sells authentic Japanese rice bowls. The half-and-half rice bowl is highly recommended for a balanced diet; try a combination of meat and vegan options. I've tried all the options and they all taste excellent.

Walking: 10 minutes

Top tip: Avoid uncovered food, as there can be flies around.

Flat Iron

For an affordable steak, order the Flat Iron Steak priced at only £14.0. You also get a free Homemade Vanilla Soft Serve as dessert, perfect for a hot day.

Walking: 11 minutes

These options ensure you have a variety of delicious and affordable meals without the need to cook!
